Realme GT 2 Pro Launched – Does It Exceed All Expectations?

Let’s get right to the point. Today we’re going to be talking about the Realme GT 2 Pro. After months of speculations and a long wait, Realme has finally released the Realme GT 2 Pro in Nepal and we love it. I mean, with every new release Realme has been breaking its own benchmarks. There’s much to talk about the GT 2 Pro, so let’s not waste much time with intros and just get right into the point. However, if you don’t feel like reading, just click the link below and you’ll be redirected directly to Realme’s homepage on Daraz.

Design & Display

Over the past few years, Realme has been experimenting with a few designs for its smartphones. And my oh my, there have been some interesting designs. If you’ve ever seen a Realme phone upfront, you’re sure to understand that the company seeks to differentiate itself in the market. As for the Realme GT 2 Pro, the design is quite simple and novel. Designed in partnership with Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukusawa, the Realme GT 2 Pro features a somewhat paper-like back cover that is made up of polymer material. The look is quite premium and feels great when held. But what’s more interesting is the fact that along with its design, the phone is quite thin and very lightweight. Overall, the design of the Realme GT 2 Pro is GREAT.

As for the display, the GT 2 Pro features a 6.7-inch WQHD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120HZ. It’s basically an LTPO 2.0 panel that allows for variable refresh rates – 1 Hz – 120 Hz. This also allows the smartphone to save more battery power without having to compromise on the overall performance. It’s safe to say that the LTPO 2.0 is quite beneficial to the users. However, it requires a fully optimized OS to work efficiently. Likewise, the GT 2 Pro features a 10-bit display with HDR 10+ certification. Further features include brightness of 1400 nits, Image Sharpener, Video Color Enhancer, Bright HDR video mode, and Video Motion Enhancement. All of these features combined make the Realme GT 2 Pro a very decent smartphone. And to end, the phone boasts a Gorilla Glass Victus protection on its display. So you can rest assured that your display is fully protected.

Performance & Battery

Qualcomm’s fastest Android Processor – This is the greatest smartphone we’ve ever made. PERIOD.”This is what Realme has to say about the new Realme GT 2 PRO.

The Realme GT 2 Pro is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 System-on-Chip along with 128GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage. The specs are top-notch and so is the performance. The processor delivers a fantastic experience when gaming as well as multi-tasking in general. The phone runs on Android 12 and Realme UI 3. This in turn allows the device to offer a more clean and responsive experience to the users. The phone, however, does not support external storage as there is no storage slot included.

Powered by a dual-cell battery of a combined 5,000mAh capacity, the phone will easily last throughout the entire day without any issues. You’ll receive a 65W fast-wired charger in the box which replenishes a completely battery-drained device fully in about 40 minutes.

Camera

The Realme GT 2 Pro features a 50 MP primary camera which is by far one of the best in its price range. It delivers stunning pictures in any lighting conditions. Likewise, the rest of the cameras include a 50MP ultra-wide fisheye camera and a 3MP micro-lens camera – which captures intricate details from very close and uses magnification to reveal details that are not quite visible through the naked eyes.

In all fairness, given the Realme GT 2 price in Nepal, the smartphone is top notch. You’ll definitely have a great time using it. And as per my feedback, it kind of does exceed expectations. Check out all the Realme GT 2 specs below.
